It's possible that Maya let something slip through the cracks once, but it's hard to imagine, since we have yet to see it happen. Maya brings a bias for action, an inclination to share early work, refined sense of humility, pragmatism, and a curious mindset to their work — all of which make them a delight to be around. Navicet's work on behalf of non-profit organizations like the Third Door Coalition aligned with Maya's interest in social justice, psychology, and statistics.

In Maya’s own words,

I became aware of the Third Door Coalition in my senior year at UW in 2020. As a psychology major, I am interested in aiding humanitarian efforts. Following the rise of COVID-19 and its disproportional effect on vulnerable populations, this interest has grown into a passion. The Third Door Coalition has inspired me to apply my skills and knowledge to push forward on an evidence-based plan that will start to lay the groundwork for a long-term solution to rising chronic homelessness in Seattle. - Maya Elliott

Maya graduated from University of Washington with a degree in psychology in 2021. We're lucky to have their help.
